The Rev. Joy E. Rogers has been the Rector of St. Thomas, Battle Creek since September, 1995. She was the Associate Rector at St. Luke’s, Evanston, and then completed an assignment as Congregational Development Missioner in a tiny country church. She received a Masters of Divinity degree from Seabury Western in 1985, and in 1993, a Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching. Before ordination she was a Critical Care nurse with a cardiac specialty. Joy has taught preaching at Episcopal and Presbyterian seminaries, and regularly serves on the staff of a yearly preaching conference for Episcopal seminarians. She was the preacher for the 2002 AAM National Conference in Jackson, Mississippi.
